We provide the full range of NHS services for all patients, with an increasing emphasis on preventative dentistry. This approach aims to focus on dental advice tailored to individual patients' requirements, with the intention of reducing the need for dental intervention in the long run. To aid in this, we have the services of a fully qualified dental hygienist within the practice.
Registration entitles
you to receive NHS care within the practice. The Scottish Executive Health
Department has stipulated that patients need to renew their registration at
least once during a three year period for it to be continuous.
Additionally we also
offer a range of private treatment, generally covering items of a cosmetic
nature not available on the NHS - such as tooth whitening. There is clearly an
increasing demand for this kind of service, as reflected in the the popularity of
'makeover' programmes on television nowadays. A full price list for these
services is available in the practice.
We always encourage
children to attend as early as possible, and do everything to make their visits
pleasant and enjoyable. Our main aim is to help them form good dental habits
which will prevent problems with their teeth in later life. To assist parents with young children, we have installed a baby changing facility in the practice.
APPOINTMENTS You may telephone or call at the practice to register or make an appointment. Our reception staff will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
However, due to unprecedented demand we have recently had to establish a waiting list for people wishing to register with us.
